Goo-net catalog market summary: Goo-net’s own market page for the S15 reported 132 listings in its price distribution model, with a price range of ¥177万–¥289万 as the “typical” window and a separate cluster of 41 listings at ¥420万 and above. The catalog showed an average used price of approximately ¥356.5万 across all visible listings.

The Spec-R premium — and why it is permanent
The price gap between Spec-R and Spec-S is not a transient market condition. It reflects structural differences: the SR20DET turbocharged engine, the 6-speed close-ratio gearbox, and the 250 ps output. The S15 Spec-R is the car that English-language buyers, drift communities, and tuning cultures globally seek. Price and condition interact: what anomalies tell you
The price ranges above describe what the retail market looks like. Their practical use is identifying when a price is anomalous — and anomalies require explanation.
A 2001 Spec-R at ¥200万 is anomalously cheap for its variant. The anomaly is explained by something: major repair history, severe structural modification, crash damage, or corrosion-driven structural failure. The S15 owner-reported issues survey found that corrosion is often invisible until late — a car priced 40% below the variant range may be one where the seller knows something about the strut towers or rear member that an auction photo does not show.

Goo-net Exchange not confirmed. The Goo-net Exchange export platform returned HTTP 429 (rate limit) at time of access. S15 export listings on that platform are known to exist and may be significant in number; they are excluded from the count above.
CarSensor listing count not confirmed. The standard CarSensor URL structure for S15-specific listings returned 404 errors across all patterns tried. Six individual Spec-R listings were confirmed from the catalog page. A total count could not be obtained.
